Our research community shares knowledge to advance its commitment to shaping veterinary nursing education and advocating for exciting pathways within veterinary nursing careers. Our driving force is upskilling veterinary nurses, informing industry, and making a positive difference. Recently published projects include ‘Final year student veterinary nurse’s future career plans: values, beliefs and anxieties’. The research was led by Suzannah Harniman, Senior Lecturer and Programme Manager for our BSc Veterinary Nursing and BSc Equine Veterinary Nursing degrees. Her research investigated the motivators behind final-year student veterinary nurses’ career plans, with a view to enhancing the level of student support Veterinary Nursing research
that could be offered in future. Her findings reinforced our ongoing approach to embedding wellbeing throughout our curriculum.
