Your enrolment is a key part of joining Hartpury and it starts now. By completing these steps over the summer, you’ll be ready to hit the ground running when you get here. Getting ready for enrolment Before you enrol •

Gymmembership fee (£100 per annum) – unlimited use of our fully-equipped gym. You can pay for your Sports Academy and gym memberships online at estore.hartpury.ac.uk/product-catalogue/sport What you need to do on GCSE results day, 20 August 2020 We know things are a bit different this year, but we wish you good luck. If your offer is conditional on the results that you’ll receive this year, you’ll need to send us your grades as soon they have been released. To do this, go on to our website and follow the instructions. www.hartpury.ac.uk We’ll receive confirmation of your results from the awarding bodies shortly after enrolment. If you submit fraudulent results you’ll be withdrawn from your programme. What we do with your results If you’ve achieved the grades that you need to meet your offer, it will be made unconditional and we’ll send you confirmation by email. If you haven’t achieved the results that you need to meet your offer, a member of the relevant course team will review your application. We may still be able to offer you a place on the course, or an alternative. If you’ve achieved better grades than expected and wish to be considered for a higher level course, please contact our Admissions team - Email admissions@hartpury.ac.uk - Call 01452 702244 Your application will be passed on to the course team to consider whether this is possible. The course tutor may wish to call you to discuss your options. We’ll send you confirmation of our decision by email.

There are a number of important things you need to do before you get here – including filling in your forms, making any payments and ordering your kit (find your kit list on page 13). We’ve highlighted your next steps below. Fill in your forms Please make sure you print and complete your forms and bring them to your enrolment. Here’s what you need to do: 1. Visit www.hartpury.ac.uk/comingtohartpury 2. Download and print your forms 3. Fill in the paper copies 5. Send your finance forms back to us now 6. Bring the rest of your forms to enrolment This will help us to make the enrolment process as smooth as possible. Make your payments There are some fees that need to be paid before you start. Here’s your list of payments due and what they’re for. • Educational visits fee (£85) – this will cover the cost of some of the great educational visits you’ll have the chance to go on. You can pay this online at estore.hartpury.ac.uk Go to the ‘Product Catalogue’ and select ‘Student Invoices’ under ‘Invoices and Deposits’. 4. Tick off your completed forms using your checklist on page 10 Accommodation fees (for residential students only) – if you’ve got a place in our accommodation you can pay by Direct Debit. Please print and complete the Direct Debit form and mandate, and send back to us now. Sports Academymembership fee (£80 per annum) – if you’re interested in joining one of our Sports Academies, you must pay for your membership. • •

What to bring to enrolment

Please make sure, if you haven’t already, that you provide us with copies of any Educational, Health and Care Plans, Educational Psychologist Reports or individual support plans. Did you have any additional exam arrangements at school? When you’ve taken exams at school, you may have been granted extra time, a reader, scribe or other additional exam help. If you want to be assessed for extra help in exams while you’re here too, it’s important that you visit the Learning Support desk during enrolment and let our team know. You’ll need to bring your Form 8 (J8) from school, signed and dated. Please note, if you don’t bring your Form 8 we won’t be able to highlight your exam needs as a priority and this may delay your application for any special arrangements. International students If you’re an international student with a Tier 4 student visa, you’ll need to bring your passport and your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) card to enrolment, if you have collected this. If you requested for your BRP card be sent to Hartpury, it will be waiting for you to collect at enrolment. A copy of these documents will be taken and held with our International Manager as part of UK Visa and Immigration compliance.

There are a few things that you need to bring to your enrolment day. Please make sure you have the following items. Proof of your exam results Bring a copy of your results transcript or certificates. While everything’s a bit different this year, you’ll still receive proof of results from your school. It’s important you do this, even if your results have been sent to us previously. Passport or driving licence (if you don’t have these, you can bring your birth certificate). Your enrolment forms Visit www.hartpury.ac.uk/comingtohartpury to download and print your forms. It’s important that you send your finance forms back to us now. You’ll find our postal address at the top of the forms. Please bring the rest of your completed forms to your enrolment. Please note, you won’t be able to enrol unless you have a copy of your qualifications with you. Proof of ID

Your enrolment FAQs

I’m a residential student, when can I move in? You’ll get the key to your room once you’ve completed your enrolment. Then you’ll be able settle in and get cosy in your new Hartpury home. We’ll run a residential induction for you and your parents, where we’ll talk you through the expectations for residential life at Hartpury. How do I get to my enrolment? You’ll need to travel to and from your enrolment yourself. As part of your enrolment, we’ll explain the process for using Hartpury transport going forwards – if you’ve applied for it. Do my parents / guardians need to come to my enrolment? If you’re under 18 years old, you’ll need to be accompanied by your parent / guardian as there are some forms they’ll need to sign. Can I prepare for my course? Yes! You could do some further reading around the subject you’re studying. You’ll be ready to hit the ground running when you start your course in September.

We intend to run your enrolment across the first two weeks of September (1 – 7 Sept 2020). We’re currently working on our plans, in line with Government advice, to make sure you have the best and safest experience. We’ll be in touch over the summer to confirm your enrolment timetable. In the meantime, we’ve answered some of your most frequently asked questions, below. This should cover everything you need to know right now, but if you do have any Where will my enrolment take place? Your enrolment will take place in the College Learning Centre (CLC) – your library and study space. When you arrive, follow signs from the car park to the CLC. There will be plenty of flags flying to show you where to go. Our students will also be on hand to help you find your way. Transport, Accommodation, IT and Aspire learning support teams, as well as your Students’ Union and course tutors. We’ll get you set up and ready to start your college life as part of our #HartpuryFamily. What happens after I’ve enrolled? We’re making plans for your induction and your learning, in line with evolving Government advice. Getting to college

If you live near Hartpury and are able to go home each day, we run bus services across Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire. If you haven’t already, it’s really important that you apply as soon as possible and pay your £100 deposit (this will be refunded if you don’t receive the results you need for your course). Apply for your transport now Download the forms from our website www.hartpury.ac.uk/college-transport Email your completed forms back to finance@hartpury.ac.uk before you enrol. Pay your £100 deposit online as soon as you can. Visit estore.hartpury.ac.uk and go to the ‘Product Catalogue’. Select ‘Invoices and Deposits’ and then ‘Student Deposits’.

During term time, Swanbrook public buses stop on campus. You can get your ticket on the bus. These buses aren’t included in our zone charges. Find out more www.swanbrook.co.uk

Your forms checklist

Tick your forms off as you complete them: Hartpury College regulations acceptance form – this includes your student code of conduct and safeguarding information. Direct Debit and mandate – set up a regular payment to cover things like accommodation. Send these back to us now using the address on the top of the form. We’ve included a page called ‘Payment of your Fees’ with your Direct Debit forms – this is for your information only. You don’t need to send this back to us. Trip consent form – permission to attend course trips. Work experience consent form – permission to take part in a work placement. Please send your finance forms back to us now. Bring the rest of your completed forms to your enrolment. If you have any issues completing these forms, we can help you at enrolment. We’ll have paper copies available too, in case you don’t have access to a printer. Here’s a checklist of the forms you’ll find on our website. It’s really important that you complete these forms in advance and bring them with you to your enrolment. This will help us to make the process as smooth as possible on the day. College inset days Inset days are additional days off for A-level and diploma students. As such, you won’t be required in college on the following dates – although tutors may require attendance to catch up on any outstanding work.

If you’re an equine student with livery and the inset day falls on a Monday, you may be able to return with your horse on the Sunday. You’ll need to get permission from the Director of Equine.

Your clothing and equipment

You’ll need to get some specialist kit and/or equipment to complete the practical elements of your course. There are some things that all Hartpury students need for their studies. Make sure you bring everything in the red ‘All courses’ box below. You’ll also need some extra things for your subject. Find your course from the list below and order your kit now. We work with trusted brands to produce high-quality clothing. Our Hartpury-branded clothing is popular with our students.
