You’ll examine the role that animals have in enriching human lives, as well as develop your understanding of human psychology, animal biology, animal handling, health and disease, behaviour and welfare. Both the positive and negative outcomes of human-animal interaction are important learning areas; you’ll examine the psychological benefits of human-animal interaction for humans, as well as topics such as psychological disorders and animal abuse or neglect. Real-life case studies will bring your learning to life. Industry opportunities Gaining experience in industry is a core part of the degree, to ensure you graduate ready for employment. You’ll benefit from opportunities on campus in our commercial animal therapy centres as well as with our industry partners in Gloucestershire, across the UK and internationally.
