“My aim is to become an animal-assisted therapist, which means working with animals to help vulnerable people. I feel like this is my calling in life. It's amazing that Hartpury offers the opportunity to work with different species as part of the degree. I’ve been getting hands on with exotic animals – meerkats, skunks and emus. This degree provides a fantastic opportunity for you to study a range of zoological disciplines. You’ll work in our labs as well as with different animals both on and off campus – exotics, domestics, invertebrates, livestock and wildlife. The course offers a variety of modules including animal health and disease, conservation, wildlife and zoo management, nutrition, biodiversity and animal behaviour, welfare and ethics, and anthrozoology.
