Central to this degree is the training, performance and rehabilitation of the equine athlete. You'll develop practical skills in ground-schooling, performance analysis and therapeutic equipment. Study equine anatomy, physiology, veterinary science and nutrition. Examine how these impact on performance and success, as well as the impact of injury and disease. Develop your ability to positively impact industry practice through dedicated modules and live briefs. Industry opportunities A work placement in your second year and a compulsory integrated placement year mean you'll gain valuable industry experience with international opportunities. Students have recently undertaken work placements at our Equine Therapy Centre, as well as at rehabilitation facilities in the UK, USA and Hong Kong specialise in the retraining of racehorses, veterinary care and re-homing centres. This course is ideal for those who are passionate about equine performance and rehabilitation, and want to further develop their scientific expertise in this area.
