Student life at Hartpury

There’s plenty to keep you busy outside lectures. Discover new hobbies through our clubs and societies, take up a recreational sport or do CV-boosting volunteering. Whether attending a big event or relaxing in our on-site bar, your student experience will be full of memories. Students’ Union The Students’ Union (SU) run an exciting range of clubs and societies, ranging from basketball, hockey and snowsports to Media Society, Raise and Give (RAG) and many more. They can also provide you with opportunities to get involved in charity work, volunteering, employability support, campaigning and representing the student voice. Freshers Freshers’ Week is a timetable of immersive activities, designed to help students settle in to university life and lay the foundations for life-long friendships. The busy calendar of events include a Beach Ball, quiz night, Glos Vegas bar crawl and Freshers’ Fair. A highlight is our popular Winter and Summer Balls. Past acts have included Rak-Su, Sigma, Katy B, Scouting for Girls, Labrinth, and Chase and Status. Keep your eyes out for your freshers’ guide. You’ll receive this in the summer before you start your studies with us. Get active As well as a comprehensive gym and sports facilities the Hartpury Active project hosts a suite of classes, from yoga to Pury Joggers, to keep you active. We have a range of sports teams and societies, both competitive and recreational, you could join. With lots of animals on campus, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to interact with them. We have two registered therapy dogs, Ralph and Bailey, who you could walk.
