Sport research

Being active is critical to health and happiness, which is why our research spans such diverse areas of physical activity. From high-performance athletes to school sport and community health, our students and staff are making a difference to people's lives through research. Prioritising physical health, mental resilience, and equal opportunities enhances athletic prowess, now and for the future. Our recent research projects have included exploring the connection between female athletes' performance and wellbeing. “ My experiences working with female athletes, opened my eyes to the lack of available information to help support female athletes which I wanted to help change. The brilliant facilities and access to high-level athletes make Hartpury a great place to try and push boundaries.” Andrew Hearn Higher Education Demonstrator in Strength and Conditioning
