Hartpury Sport facilities

Develop hands-on expertise and undertake research in our over £10 million Sports Academy. With access to specialist technologies, laboratories, gyms and pitches, you’ll put theory into practice and explore newways to improve health and fitness for everyone – from elite athletes to schoolchildren. Our campus simulates a professional sports environment. New for 2022, our £250,000 performance gymwill give students additional learning opportunities to coach, rehabilitate and carry out research with our on-site academy athletes and industry partners, supported by expert lecturers and coaches.

Our world-class facilities include  • Gyms: learn and train using the latest strength and conditioning equipment  • Anti-gravity treadmill: to support athlete rehabilitation and training  • Human performance laboratory: carry out sports science physiology testing  • Biomechanics laboratory: investigate movement and skill using 3D motion capture cameras and force plates  • Rehabilitation and therapy centre: massage beds and tables for sports therapy  • Performance Analysis Suite: analyse and code athlete match performance  • 1,500m 2 sports hall with integrated camera: for learning, analysis, competitive and recreational matches  • Pitches: eight grass and two 3G rubber crumb pitches, plus our rugby stadium and clubhouse  • Driving range: with GASP video analysis software for continual improvement.
