As part of your Veterinary Practice Based Learning Talk, you’ll get advice on finance specific to Veterinary Nursing and find out how we support our students to gain work experience and arrange placements. Parents: You're welcome to attend the welcome and Veterinary Practice Based Learning talks, after which offer holders will split into their course sessions. Information on what else is available for you across the day is on page 22. After your talks, you’ll have the chance to speak with current students as you walk together to our Veterinary Nursing and Technical Skills Centre. You’ll then spend time in this brand-new facility, which is at the heart of our ongoing vision to produce the very best veterinary nurses to meet and exceed the expectations of employers, for your course session. You’ll experience what it’s like to be a student veterinary nurse at Hartpury University as you get involved in practical tasks. You’ll also spend some time in the lab learning about animal anatomy, explore our clinical skills area, and use some of the specialist equipment available to our students. Finally, you’ll get an authentic insight into clinical learning in a veterinary practice, and hear from current students as they prepare for rewarding careers as veterinary nurses.
