Develop your understanding and expertise in Animal Assisted Services (AAS), working with animals within your existing scope of practice as a Psychologist or Counsellor. Learn how to lead and influence the field of AAS, promoting One Health and optimal wellbeing for both animals and humans. This new programme will equip qualified mental health practitioners with the theoretical knowledge and practical application of working with animals. Professional experience Establish your practical skills and expertise in a real-world animal assisted counselling context with access to external providers practices and premises for practical activities and research projects. Graduate destinations For qualified mental health professionals, this master’s degree will give you the expertise to include animals within your existing practice as Clinical Psychologist or Counsellor or secure a new role within Animal Assisted Services (AAS).

Key information • Full-time: one year • Part-time: two-three years • Delivery: online, campus based, and off campus Entry requirements • 2:1 honours degree (2:2 applicants considered individually) and BPS Accredited Clinical Psychologist or Mental Health Counsellor; or equivalent professional qualifications for international applicants; or BACP Level 5 Counselling qualifications • International requirements: visit web page
