"My course gave me the opportunity to learn in a different way and prepared me for university life. The lecturers were amazing and encouraged me to do things that I may not have had the confidence to do otherwise – including applying for my degree. I gained practical experience in the large animal collection on campus, and outside of college through work placements. This made me more employable because I had a range of transferrable skills that are valuable to the industry.” After leaving Hartpury, Ruby became a Fisheries Policy Officer for the Scottish Wildlife Trust, focusing on minimising the environmental impact of fishing activities.
