Animal Care Level 2*

Our Level 2 Technical Diploma in Animal Care will give you a good introduction to the animal management industry and prepare you for your next steps. You’ll develop the theoretical and practical knowledge to care for animals in a manner that meets health and welfare standards. Working with a range of species in our animal collection, you'll get hands-on planning, and monitoring animal feeding, managing accommodation, and maintaining health. Work experience will broaden your skills and experience in a real-life industry situation. Topics covered include Animal Biology and Health, Animal Welfare and Behaviour, as well as feeding, accommodating, and moving animals. On completion of this course (Merit or Distinction), you could go on to study our T Level Foundation Programme. Read more on page 33. Your progression opportunities On successful completion of this course at Merit or Distinction level, you could go on to study our T Level Foundation Programme. *Level 2 assessment | You'll have two external assessments, which will include an exam. In addition, the internally assessed units include the completion of assignments, practical assessments, and presentations.
