Animal Science and Management T Level

Animal Management and Behaviour T Level

If you want to study the biology of animals and progress onto an animal science degree programme* this Animal Management and Science T Level is for you. Develop your core skills across key areas, including business, biological cells and tissues, and anatomy and physiology, as you learn in a practical environment. Apply real world skills and research methods throughout the course to further your understanding and career. Topics could include Reproductive Technologies, Animal Behaviour, Management and Handling and Scientific Investigation.

Develop the skills to work with animals and manage every aspect of their care. Be among the first students to study this exciting new T Level qualification. You’ll gain a comprehensive understanding of health and safety, sustainability, biosecurity, the supply chain, ethics, learning theories, and animal health. Expand your expertise and apply the techniques you learn to optimise the health of animals, influence positive behaviour, and promote animal welfare and conservation.

As a T Level student, you’ll spend 80% of your time learning at Hartpury and 20% – a minimum of 45 days – in industry, developing your technical skills within the workplace. With access to our network of industry employers, you'll find a position that matches your career aspirations. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to apply your knowledge and get hands-on with the domestic and exotic species in our animal collection. Your progression opportunities On completion of your T Level, you could progress onto a university related degree* or be ready to gain employment within the animal industry.
