Livestock Production T Level*

Your progression opportunities On completion of this T Level course, you'll be ready to progress onto a degree at Hartpury University or other institutions,** or gain a role as a livestock production specialist. You’ll develop your knowledge during year three, exploring methods for optimal animal breeding and production, as well as the tools, equipment, and materials used to manage livestock and the surrounding areas. The livestock industry offers a wealth of career opportunities. Gain an understanding of how to optimise and maintain livestock production at all stages, whilst developing applied skills as you undertake duties on 380 hectares of commercial farmland with our industry specialists. in Livestock Production, which includes a placement year. You’ll also develop your skills with the latest technology and simulators in our Agri-Tech Centre and Digital Studio. In your first year, you’ll gain a core understanding of health and safety principles, sustainability, biosecurity, supply chain, anatomy and physiology, diseases, disorders Your placement year will provide you with a wealth of additional industry experience as you apply your knowledge and skills to a workplace environment. Your tutors and our placement co-ordinators will ensure you're gaining as much as possible from your industry placement. You'll spend 30% of your time studying the core curriculum and 70% your chosen specialism and health plans, nutrition, medicine, technology, and equipment, and data.
