Real-world experiences Watch theory come to life through a series of thought-provoking trips related to your course. Field trips are a unique way to experience learning outside the classroom.* You’ll immerse yourself in your subject and explore potential career paths. You could experience some of these amazing trips through your course: • Biology – Slimbridge Wetland Centre • Business and Economics – JCB Headquarters and a guest lecturer from the Bank of England • Chemistry – University of Worcester • English – University of Gloucestershire • English Language – Birmingham Library and The Rep theatre • Environmental Science – Eden Project and a residential visit to Iceland • Geography – Seaton Beach and a residential visit to Iceland • History – Dean Heritage Centre, Bath American History Museum, and a guest lecturer on African Americans in the Gilded age • Physical Education – a guest speaker from the FA, and a residential visit to Virginia Tech • Psychology – a live case at Gloucester Crown Court, a residential visit to the Paris Conference, and talks on psychological therapies and educational psychology • Physics – Hinkley Point • Sociology – a live case at Gloucester Crown Court • Many subjects also attend revision conferences. Our A-level ski trip to Italy is also popular with many of our students*
