Work experience is a great way to gain industry experience and try out the job you’ve always wanted. You’ll have lots of opportunities to put your classroom-based learning into practice. Find out what you enjoy the most and be ready to hit the ground running. All of our courses include work experience, either in your first or second year. With access to over 2,000 employers, we’ll help you to find a position that matches your aspirations and support you to achieve your goals. It’s also a key part of your Hartpury Certificate. You’ll evidence all the hands-on skills and experience you gain in your e-portfolio – which will put you ahead of the curve when applying for university places or jobs. Turn back to pages 3 – 4 to find out more about our unique certificate and extracurricular opportunities. Depending on your course, you could get some practical experience right here on campus. Gain hands-on experience of different farming operations on our commercial farm, learn about smart farming in our new Agri-Tech Centre, muck in and care for horses at our equine centre, or learn how to look after over 70 domestic and non-domestic species in our animal collection. Off campus, you could compete against other colleges in subject-specific competitions and make the most of opportunities to gain experience with industry employers.
