Living costs
In addition to paying your tuition fees, you’ll need to budget to ensure you have sufficient money for living costs including travel to and from Hartpury if you're not living on campus, accommodation, meals and other living expenses while you are here. Below you'll find a rough guideline to help you plan your finances.
Accommodation Hartpury on-site accommodation From £5,440 to £6,200 per academic year (40 weeks). Includes water, electricity, heating and WiFi.
Hartpury car parking pass A car parking permit allowing you to park on campus during term time: £100 per academic year for students living on campus; from £60 for non-resident students. Bus tickets Buses run regularly from campus to Gloucester and Cheltenham. £1.50 single journey, £2.40 for return, £11.50 for 10 journey pass. Taxi: Gloucester – Hartpury campus £12-20 dependent on taxi service, plus date and time of travel.
Entertainment £35 for a night out to include meal and drinks.
Laundryat Hartpury £3.50 per load, including wash and tumble dry.
Off-site accommodation Blackfriars – a range of
accommodation available including shared and private one-bedroom apartments. Prices from £149 to £154 per week for 2021. Make an enquiry for 2022 prices: www.hartpury.ac.uk/blackfriars Student Digs – Visit their website for information and prices: www. studentdigsgloucestershire.co.uk Off site private one-bed apartment £475 – £625 per month. Likely need to pay a one-month deposit up front and letting agent fees. Some will require full 6 months’ rent in advance. This does not include additional bills such as utilities. Meals at Hartpury £55 per week for purchasing cooked meals, £30 for self-catering based on three meals a day. Personal care products We estimate around £15 each week, however, this is dependent on individual needs and product preferences.
Hartpurykit You might need to or choose to purchase specific Hartpury-branded kit for for your course (we'll let you know about specific kit needed when we send your enrolment instructions): £25 - £50, depending on what you purchase.
Hartpurygymmembership £120 per academic year.
Academymembership and Students' Union clubs and societies £20 – £300 depending on the club and academy. Academy membership includes gym.
Mobile phone contract Sim card only £15-20 per month, 12-month contract.
