Wellbeing at Hartpury 2021

Develop your study skills by getting a plan of your assignments. Find out your best place to study - is it in the quiet or with a partner? Be organised, have everything ready that you’ll need. Plan your time and build in revision but don’t forget to take time out when you need it. Study skills are linked in with your preferred learning style: Visual - learns through using visual displays and reading, also by reading body language and facial expressions. eg. diagrams, graphs, presentations, handouts, textbooks. Auditory - learns by listening to lectures and listening to what people say rather than reading about it, e.g. discussions, guest speakers, summarising aloud. Kinaesthetic - learns by the hands on approach by doing and practising things, e.g. experiments, practical sessions, visits, role-play. Although you may have a preferred way of learning it is also useful to develop some of the other two skills as well to make sure you get the best from every type of lesson.
