English students There are two types of loans available to English students, provided by the government through Student Finance England. Tuition fee loan – lets you borrow enough money to pay your tuition fees in full. Maintenance loan – this is means tested (dependent on your household income) and allows you to borrow money to support your living costs at university. www.gov.uk/student-finance Welsh students There are loans and bursaries available to Welsh students, provided by the government through Student Finance Wales. Tuition fee loan – lets you borrow enough money to pay your tuition fees in full. Maintenance loan – this is means tested (dependent on your household income) and allows you to borrow money to support your living costs at university. Maintenance grant – you may be eligible to receive some of your maintenance in the form of a Welsh Government Learning Grant (WGLG).
