You’ll focus on an area of agriculture to match your interests and career goals on this course. The majority of your year will be spent working in industry, with teaching delivered in short blocks. You might already have employment that you can use as your work placement or we can help you find something to match your aspirations. You’ll also conduct your own business and research projects throughout the year, focusing on an agreed topic that uncovers new knowledge relating to current farming issues and developments. knowledge through research. Industry opportunities You’ll spend the year almost entirely in industry, which is great preparation for your next step. Recent work placements have been undertaken across the UK and overseas, including subsistence farming in Uganda, working for abattoirs, seed companies, as well as arable and livestock farms in Gloucestershire, Suffolk and Cornwall. This course is ideal for those who want to progress their existing agricultural qualifications and experience, whilst achieving a full BSc honours degree.
