Ralph Dalu BSc Agriculture Student Profile

"The business lectures on my course have inspired me to take a new enterprise back to my home farm in Zimbabwe. I grew up on a beef and arable farm, but chose to do my first work placement on a sheep farm in Scotland. The thrill of something so new was brilliant. I learnt so much and now plan to take it all home and grow my family farm with a sheep farming enterprise. It will give my parents the confidence to venture into new areas of farming."

Ralph is all set to undertake his second work placement in Edinburgh. By completing work experience on a variety of different farms, he’ll have the broad range of hands- on skills that employers are looking for
