1948

2000 We hosted the European Young Rider Dressage, Showjumping and Cross-Country Championships and opened our commercial Equine Therapy Centre trip took place to Borneo. Our students now regularly travel to exotic locations. Our new dairy unit was opened by Anne, Princess Royal 2007 Our new Hartpury Arena hosted the FEI World Para Dressage Championships 2002 2012 We made the decision to work towards full university status (Hartpury University) to strengthen our influence and impact Our first international field 2014 We achieved two commendations and seven areas of best practice in the QAA's Higher Education Review, including employability and career prospects

2017 We were rated Teaching Excellence Framework Gold, putting us in the top 25% of UK providers. We were awarded Taught Degree Awarding Powers, which means we can deliver our own taught degrees We celebrated becoming Hartpury University, alongside Hartpury College, in our 70 th anniversary year. We enroled our first PhD students, partnership with the University of the West of England 2018 Our new £8.8 million Sports Academy opened, including world-leading sports equipment 2019 Our new Agri-Tech centre is set to open on our commercial farm, helping to improve productivity in Gloucestershire and the UK 2020 We're due to host the FEI Dressage and Eventing European Championships for Young Riders and Juniors - the biggest equine event at Hartpury to date as part of our new research 2018

Our link with the University of the West of England was forged. We were awarded Associate Faculty status and began developing our university qualifications 1999 Our first masters degree - MSc Equine Science - was launched. We now have a diverse portfolio of masters degrees across our subjects areas Post World War II: Hartpury College was established as an agricultural further education provider in Gloucestershire 1949-1953 Alongside 50 male students, the first female students enroled on our agricultural courses 1990-1994 A rapid expansion programme began, opening new further education courses in agriculture, equine and animal subjects; the first university- level degree - BSc Equine Science - was launched. It's still running today 1997
