Luciana recently coached the England Deaf Women's Futsal team to fourth place in the 2018 European Championships. Previously, she was Head Coach for Bristol City Women’s Futsal (2015 FA Cup champions) and represented Brazil in the World University Games in China.

Lecturer Profile

"I try to observe each student as an individual so I can get to know what they need to succeed. I can then affect how they coach and play, as well as develop them as people. Helping them learn and progress is a core part of what I do. Problem solving is important. Coaches and players need to make a lot of decisions and make them quickly. I never give my students the answer. Instead, I focus on developing their understanding and critical thinking so that they are able to work it out themselves."
