A range of modules will introduce you to successful sports coaching. Subjects such as sport and exercise psychology, and sport development, will help to prepare you for industry. Your second year will see you focus your studies in the direction you want to take your coaching career. You’ll become a coaching mentor to another student and gain valuable experience with young athletes and/or children at primary schools, ready for your next big step. Industry opportunities You’ll benefit from our partnerships with the Football Association and the Rugby Football Union as well as with Active Gloucestershire and Gloucester Athletics. You’ll have opportunities to gain experience with professional athletes and teams from our Sports Academies on campus. Plus the opportunity to work for charitable organisations such as Play Gloucestershire. This course is ideal for those who have a genuine interest in getting the best out of people, whether through sport coaching or coaching in general.
