Dr. Kathryn Nankervis Principal Lecturer Equine Therapy Lecturer Profile

"Watching horses that we’ve worked with performing at world level is unforgettable. Knowing that we have helped to get them there is such a great feeling. Valegro and Charlotte are perfect examples - one minute we were working with them in our Equine Therapy Centre, the next we’re watching themwin an Olympic Gold in Rio. We get to work with such a range of horses, from dressage champions and racehorses to those competing at novice level. Not many equine professions get to work

Kathryn oversees all teaching, commercial and research activity within the Equine Therapy Centre and the Rider Performance Centre. Her research specialism is physiology and biomechanics relating to equine physical therapy. She is co-author of Equine Exercise Physiology and has written many papers on equine water treadmill exercise and equine rehabilitation

so closely with such a fascinating range. Enabling a successful

horse-rider partnership to continue doing what they love is so rewarding."
