Our students and graduates

“Right frommy first year, my tutor has encouraged me to get involved with workshops, clinics and work experience. I’ve been a student rep, and also part of the board committee of the vet society this year. All this has helped me grow so much as a person.”

Matt Evans BSc Sports Coaching graduate

Matt plays Championship rugby for the Cornish Pirates and is part of the Canadian national team. "Hartpury taught me what it’s like to manage my time and balance my studies with my training schedule. If you take advantage of everything on offer, you’ll hone your skills and come away a better person."

Skai Walker BSc Human-Animal Interaction

Ralph Dalu BSc Agriculture student

“My aim is to become an animal-assisted therapist, which means working with animals to help vulnerable people. I feel like this is my calling in life. I really want to expand this field of work in my career, moving away from ‘pets in therapy’ into how we can work with more unique animals to help health and wellbeing.”

“Hartpury’s an amazing place to learn; there’s always so much going on. I’ve learnt my trade hands-on, working with the animals on the farm and studying the crops. Not to mention all the trips and visits I’ve been on. Everyone here is passionate about farming. You’ll be immersed in the perfect environment to succeed.”
