Hartpury Univeristy International Guide 1 2021

Additional costs If you are applying for your Student visa outside the UK, the current cost is £348. You should get a decision on your visa within three weeks once you attend your appointment at the visa application centre. This may be sooner, depending on which country you’re in. You will also need to pay a one-off Immigration Health Surcharge as part of your visa application so you can access the UK’s National Health Service. Students receive a 25 percent discount on the usual cost of this surcharge – so the rate for Student visa holders is £470 per year.

Proving your standard of English An important part of the visa application is proving you have a good standard of English. We prefer the IELTS test, but can also accept TOEFL and Cambridge Advanced English too. You can find more information on how to book an IELTS test at: takeielts.britishcouncil.org There are some countries which the UKVI have listed as being exempt from proving your level of English language. These countries can be found on the government website at www.gov.uk/student-visa/ knowledge-of-english
