Crop Production T Level*

During your first year, you’ll gain a fundamental understanding of health and safety, sustainability, biosecurity, finance, data, the supply chain, and plant growth. In year two, you’ll expand your skills and expertise to include optimal crop yield and quality, the tools, equipment, and materials used in managing crops and the surrounding areas, and how to establish, manage, harvest, and store crops as a vital component of the food production process. You’ll spend 80% of your time learning at Hartpury and 20% – a minimum of 45 days – in industry, developing your technical skills within the workplace. With access to our network of industry employers, you'll find a position that matches your career aspirations. You’ll also develop your skills with access to the latest technology and simulators in our Agri-Tech centre and Digital Studio. Your progression opportunities On completion of this T Level course, you'll be ready to progress onto a degree at Hartpury University or other institutions,** or gain employment within the crop production or related industries. Cultivate your career in crop production with this two-year T Level. Learn how to optimise crop production systems and manage surrounding areas, whilst developing your practical skills across a range of field and container-based crop production systems, plant biology, environmental management, and machinery operations.
