to make your room feel like home. Please make sure you display your posters on the noticeboard rather than the wall to avoid ruining paintwork. What if I damage my room? You’ll be charged to repair any damage caused maliciously and possibly accidentally, including an administration fee. In addition, you could face behaviour management procedures for deliberate damage. You’ll be asked to complete a room entry check at the start of the academic year and a room exit check will be carried out by a member of staff at the end of the academic year. Any appropriate deductions will be made from your deposit at this stage and a refund issued to you within 28 days of vacating accommodation.

Will I have a curfew? You have to be back in your block by 10.30pm if you’re under 18. If you’re going to be late back for any reason, you’ll need to let us know as soon as possible. Can I bring my pet? You cannot bring pets into student accommodation. This includes reptiles, hamsters and fish! Can I have a guest to stay overnight? No. Non-residential guests/visitors are not allowed in residential blocks. You can visit your friends in other blocks, but you must leave by 10pm for security reasons. No under 18-year-old students are allowed in over-18 year-old students’ halls at any time. Can I decorate my room? Yes, that’s a great idea. You can bring cushions, photographs and decorations
