PROCEDURE

This list is not exhaustive and the process is cumulative

All actions will be recorded on Student Records

Level 2 FormalWrittenWarning & Stage 2 Cancellation of Residential Licence Notification Recorded on the Student Record. Students & Parents/Carers (if student is under 18 or if an O18 student has given permission) will receive an automatically issued C2 email. Residential Sanctions such as earlier curfew (2100 hrs for 14 days) plus any of the following: • Any additional sanction relating to offence at the discretion of the Assistant /Head of Residential Support • Payment for repairs / replacement • Vehicle banned from Campus for a specific period Supportive interventions where relevant: • Meeting with Health & Safety Manager • Meeting with Hall Residential Support Officer • Meeting with a member of the Wellbeing Level 3 FormalWrittenWarning & Final Stage Cancellation of Residential Licence Notification Recorded on the Student Record. Students & Parents/Carers (if student is under 18 or if an O18 student has given permission) will receive an automatically issued C3 email. If the outcome is a suspension, a letter/invitation to a panel meeting is sent to the Student & Parent/Carer (if student is under 18 or if an O18 student has given permission). Residential Sanctions to accompany a C3 FormalWrittenWarning at the discretion of the Vice Principal (Resources) &/or Head of Residential Support such an earlier curfew (2100 hrs for 21 days). For Serious Breaches, where possible, a meetingwith the Vice Principal is convened within 24 hours of the incident. For Serious Breaches, the outcome may include: • Automatic Formal Suspension for up to 2 weeks from College followed by a Non- Academic Behaviour Management Panel • For incidents involving use/under influence/possession or supply of drugs/ possession of drugs paraphernalia an oral test to detect drug use will be required

• Alcohol Breach – Under the influence of alcohol (U18)

C2 Meetingwith Assistant Head or Head of Residential Support

• Alcohol Breach - Possession of Alcohol Outside of Designated Areas (O18) and/or Supplying Alcohol to an U18 Student (O18)

• Unsafe Driving Breaches on Campus

• Visiting Pubs / Clubs (U18) • Deliberate Damage to College Property (including that which breaches Health & Safety requirements) • Breach of Behaviour Management/ Residential Rules and Regulations including Health & Safety Legislation

• Off Campus Breach of Curfew and/or misuse of security fob (U18). This can include visiting bars/pubs/clubs

C3 Issued by/ meeting with Senior Residential Support Officer

• Serious Alcohol Breaches / Intimidating Behaviour

• Physical Assault

• Sexual Harassment and Online Sexual Abuse

• Peer on Peer abuse and Online Peer on Peer Abuse

• Deliberate Bullying (including Cyber Bullying & Residential / Sports Initiations)

• Race, Equality and Diversity Discrimination

• Dangerous Driving on Campus which could include driving under the influence of Alcohol or illegal Substances • Use/Possession/Under the Influence of Class A, B or C Drugs plus ‘Legal Highs’ & including Performance Enhancing Drugs
