Sapper skills! | The 105 Battalion Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME) led a personal development activity workshop for Uniformed Public Services students, giving them a deeper insight into the work they do. The highlight of the day saw the students split into teams to work with a REME Officer, giving them the unique opportunity to work with a ‘Sapper’ on a command and control exercise in the classroom. They also took part in a range of team building and command tasks, which involved them completing a variety of mentally and physically challenging activities.
Emergency planning exercise | Uniformed Public Services students had the chance to see how the emergency services respond individually and collectively to a major incident, in this case the scenario of a chemical and biological attack at a sporting event. As well as being suited up to be decontaminated and sprayed, they were able to question representatives from each service.
