We offer a wide range of enrichment activities to help students make the most of their time at Hartpury. Students are required to take part in at least two afternoons of enrichment per week. Students who apply to one of our elite sports academies should note that training for this will take place during time allocated for enrichment activity. Examples of enrichment include: Dissection club - a club for those interested in anatomy Debating club - an opportunity to hone your critical thinking and reasoning Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award Pre-medicine* - Students have an opportunity to develop their knowledge about disease and how the human body functions. They will also receive targeted careers advice and talks given by medical professionals alongside work experience opportunities to give them the best possible chance of applying to study medicine and embark on related careers. Pre-veterinary* - A unique enrichment programme supported by two leading universities offering veterinary medicine and run by Hartpury, which is offered to those students who are hoping to pursue a career in the veterinary field. Students will have an opportunity to gain work experience and access our impressive specialist facilities, including Home Farm, the Equine Therapy Centre and the extensive animal collection. * Please note that pre-medicine and pre-veterinary enrichment programmes can be studied alongside your A-levels. They are not A-level courses.
