Uniformed Public Services at Hartpury
Our Uniformed Public Services course will give you the skills, confidence and resilience to follow a career in the armed and blue-light services. At Hartpury, you'll benefit from our links with the British Army, RAF, Royal Navy, Royal Marines, police, ambulance and fire services.
Uniformed Public Services Level 3 This course will give you a realistic understanding of the uniformed public services and armed services. Our course covers the police, fire and rescue service, ambulance, prison service, HM Revenue and Customs, Royal Navy, RAF and the British Army. You’ll complete a week of work experience to gain first-hand experience and explore the careers open to you. You’ll also take part in practical sessions every week and hear from industry speakers. Gain the qualifications and skills to begin a career in public services or progress to university to study public services, criminology or law. "I’m a member of the RAF Police and my current role includes conducting criminal investigations on individuals. The Uniformed Public Services course helped me to develop teamwork, communication, leadership and social skills, all of which are vital for my job."
Your progression opportunities Our students have gone on to complete degrees in criminology, policing, paramedic science, psychology and disaster management at a range of universities. This could lead to a career as: •• Armed services – the British Army,
