Graduate profile

Nathan Samuda Sport

“There’s no better place to study. It made me realise there are different ways to learn. I wouldn’t be the coach, or even the person, I am today without my placement year. Gaining exposure within a professional sports environment was invaluable. I’m able to use the theoretical and practical knowledge I gained at Hartpury now more than ever, from different exercises through to the way I communicate with athletes. The access to student and elite sports teams is incredible and lecturers provide opportunities that match your interests. I was able to build my coaching portfolio and connections for the future.” After his placement year, Nathan began running and assisting strength and conditioning programmes with our Modern Pentathlon and elite Netball academy squads respectively. He’s now strength and conditioning coach at Radley College.
