Biological Sciences Launch an exciting career in biology

rural campus is home to rare plant and animal species and is the ideal setting for observing, monitoring, and conserving British wildlife. Away from campus, put your knowledge and skills into practice and gain valuable industry experience via an optional placement year. These roles offer opportunities to work with real clients, supervise others, or participate in special events, such as the world-class equestrian events that take place at Hartpury every year.

Study everything from the smallest microbes up to large-scale ecosystems and gain an in-depth understanding of essential biological topics such as anatomy, physiology, genetics, biochemistry, behavioural ecology, and plant science. You'll have opportunities to expand your skills inside the laboratory and outside in the field. Develop real-world experience and applications of biology using our on-site facilities, including our animal collection, canine and equine hydrotherapy centres, and commercial farm boasting both crops and livestock. Our 360-hectare

"We're giving students the opportunity to study a wide range of biology topics in a highly applied way and with an industry relevant focus. They’ll be able to experience studying plants and animals in real life, survey real habitats on our campus estate and explore techniques in our labs that directly relate to the world we live in.” Dr Wanda McCormick Head of Animal and Agriculture
