Launch your career in crop management. Gain industry experience on our commercial farm that’s leading the way in crop production research. You'll have the opportunity to achieve a crop protection certificate as part of your degree.* Central to this degree is arable food production – producing more output with less input, while optimising profit margins. You’ll learn to develop a sustainable business with minimal impact on natural resources. You’ll also build skills in growing, managing and maintaining crops, exploring new technologies including direct drilling, plant breeding, genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and organic growing. Business modules will introduce you to the latest farmmanagement practices and policies. Hear from professionals in lectures and go on trips to organisations such as CropTech. Industry opportunities You’ll spend time in industry working on a range of real-world projects and have the option to take an integrated placement year. Recent work placements have included subsistence farming in Uganda, roles at DLF Seeds Ltd and Agrii, and arable farms in the UK. You could choose to study for a semester in the USA or Canada.**
