Immerse yourself in the theory and practical application of zoology. Explore a range of subjectswithin animal health, welfare and conservation, then tailor your degree to suit you. Workwith over 70 species on campus includingmeerkats, dogs, horses and livestock. This degree provides a fantastic opportunity for you to study a range of zoological disciplines. You’ll work in our labs as well as with different animals both on and off campus – exotics, domestics, invertebrates, livestock and wildlife. The course offers a variety of modules including animal health and disease, conservation, wildlife and zoo management, nutrition, biodiversity and animal behaviour, welfare and ethics, and anthrozoology. As you progress, you’ll develop your own areas of interest, gaining skills and experience for your career. Develop your field work expertise during a trip to MankweWildlife Reserve, South Africa, Slapton Ley Nature Reserve, Devon, or day trips in Gloucestershire. You'll receive a £150 bursary to pay for the non-residential day trips or reduce the cost of the residential options.* Industry opportunities Our students gain work and research experience in our on-site facilities, as well as at local rescue centres, zoos and wildlife parks. We have strong industry connections and host regular guest lectures, as well as professionals undertaking practical demonstrations.
