“We have a responsibility to maintain harmony between human activity and nature. My role is the link between government, landowners, and ecologists. When I started, my goal was veterinary medicine, but I quickly discovered a passion for wildlife conservation and environment. I realised I wanted to actively improve the environment. The course blended my love for animals with science and gave me plenty of scope to do my own research. I felt so inspired by my female lecturers’ career success within the scientific community.”
