You're joining the animal industry at a very exciting time. Animal welfare is high up on the global agenda and the pet sector is set to hit amonumental £130 billion by 2030,** creating ever expanding career opportunities for skilled graduates. We’re creating an evidence base of best practice that’s changing the waywe interact with animals, and we couldn’t do it without the creativity, innovation and new ideas our students contribute. From optimising animal health and performance, to exploring human-animal interactions in zoos, you’ll be helping us find practical solutions to real world issues. Start building your professional network from day one, as we host trainers, coaches, behaviourists, and veterinary professionals. Put theory into practice and boost your CVwith access to over 70 species, laboratories, animal therapy and hydrotherapy centres, a new Equine and Animal Assisted Activities Area, and a country estate that's ideal for observing British species such as bats and moths. From field trips to zoos, safaris and animal charities, to an optional wildlife experience in either South Africa or the UK † (see page 61) you’ll be exposed to a range of career opportunities to help you find the one that’s right for you. *Graduate Outcomes 2022.
