Develop your expertise in racehorse performance analysis and rehabilitation. Graduate with a strong portfolio and the contacts you need for an international horseracing career. Apply scientific principles to training practices, analyse performance and understand the rehabilitation of racehorses. You’ll examine the biology of the racehorse, including how functional anatomy and physiology, nutrition, genetics and health combine to underpin performance and success. You’ll also have opportunities to tailor your degree to suit your interests and career goals, in areas such as sports medicine, performance analysis or therapy and rehabilitation. Live briefs, field trips and work experience will strengthen your learning. Industry opportunities Alongside opportunities in leading horseracing yards in Gloucestershire, you could have opportunities to support the rehabilitation of racehorses in our commercial Equine Therapy Centre on campus, experiencing first-hand the latest scientific approaches to racehorse training and rehabilitation, post injury. This course is ideal for those who have a passion for the racehorse as an athlete, in particular their performance and rehabilitation, and are keen to develop a career within this industry.
