With two billionmore people to feed by 2050*, agriculture is one of themajor industries that’s changing to support theworld's rapidly growing population. At Hartpury, agriculture is muchmore than farming. Our students study degrees that are data driven, scientific and business led. You don’t need to be froman agricultural background, you just need the passion and drive tomake a difference to our planet, people and animals. There's never been amore exciting time to join this global sector. Our students benefit from a curriculum that’s informed by industry, with business management embedded throughout. As part of our 10- year vision to create a Digital Innovation Farm and become a leader in smart farming technology, our students learn from, and contribute to, the latest scientific research in our £2 million Agri-Tech Centre and advanced dairy parlour. From connecting food production to the consumer to increasing crop yield, they’re working on scientific projects for the real world. As part of your degree, you’ll spend 800 hours – that’s around 100 days – applying your knowledge to real-life scenarios in your work placement. An optional placement year or semester studying in the USA or Canada could strengthen your professional skills and international perspective. Add that to the expertise you’ll develop on our award-winning 400-hectare commercial farm, and you’ll be well- prepared to drive the agri-tech sector forwards into a productive and sustainable future.**
