As animal welfare continues to climb the global agenda, the pet care and animal healthmarkets are booming.** You’re joining the animal industry at a very exciting time, with ever- expanding career opportunities. We’re creating an evidence base of best practice that’s changing the way we interact with animals, and we couldn’t do it without the creativity, innovation and new ideas our students contribute. From optimising animal health and performance, to exploring human- animal interactions in zoos, you’ll be helping us find practical solutions to real-world issues. Our access to industry expertise is unrivalled. We host trainers, coaches, behaviourists, veterinary professionals and more on campus. When you’re not learning from specialists in our 70-species animal collection, brand new training arena and industry-standard labs, you could be volunteering on our commercial farm, equine yard or canine hydrotherapy to boost your CV. From field trips to zoos, safaris and animal charities, to an optional wildlife experience in either South Africa or Devon † you’ll be exposed to a range of career opportunities to help you find the one that’s right for you. *Graduate Outcomes 2021. Reflects activities after 15 months for those who graduated in 2019. **The global pet care industry is set to swell to £157 billion by 2025 (Grand View Research 2018). The global animal health market is worth £33.5 billion and growing rapidly (Grand View Research 2020). † This trip is course dependent.
