One of the major benefits of completing an Honours degree over a Foundation degree is the applied research project in your final year. Our research- active staffwill support you to explore your interests and develop the expertise that will stand out to future employers. Becoming an expert Set yourself apart from other Veterinary Nurses as you develop your unique skill set. Your research will contribute to an evidence base that’s advancing our understanding of best practice for nursing animals, and improving standards in veterinary nursing practices across the industry. Skills for employment As you carry out scientific research, you'll be developing key transferable and occupational skills. Become an effective member of a veterinary nursing team, communicating with clients, providing high- quality patient care, and carrying out clinical research that improves nursing care. Inspiring the next generation During your final year, you'll undertake clinical coaching to gain the practical clinical skills you'll need for your future profession. With a BSc (Hons) degree, you could go on to complete a PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate of Education) and inspire the next generation of veterinary nurses as a university lecturer.
