You’ll develop a thorough understanding of industry, gaining hands-on experience with recreational and performance athletes across a range of sports. Working in our gyms, human performance laboratories and sports nutrition kitchen, you'll observe the effects of diet on athletic performance, as well as how exercise can affect the body’s metabolism and its requirement for nutrients. The course is endorsed by the Sport and Exercise Nutrition Register, which sets industry standards for practitioners. You’ll develop high-quality practical skills and strong scientific knowledge, ready for your next step. with student athletes in a range of sporting disciplines on campus. You’ll also benefit from our strong links with local sporting professionals, teams and businesses. The optional integrated placement year means you can gain industry experience and connections ready for your career. This course is ideal for those who are fascinated by sports nutrition and would like to work with recreational and elite athletes to improve sport and exercise performance.
