You'll develop professional skills in livestock farming and management, exploring new technologies that promote animal health, welfare and production. Learn about ruminant production and mono-gastric production systems in optional modules. You’ll develop your knowledge of biosecurity and how to manage the outbreak of prevalent livestock diseases. Business modules will introduce you to the latest farmmanagement practices and policies. Hear from professionals in lectures and undertake field trips to enhance your learning. Industry opportunities You’ll complete up to 980 hours in industry and have the option to take an integrated placement year. Students work with businesses such as Agrii and the NFU, and internationally in New Zealand and Uganda. You could choose to study a semester in the USA or Canada.* This course is ideal for those who want to progress into a livestock management career, helping to increase sustainable food production. With access to our commercial campus farm, you'll graduate with the expertise to launch your career in the livestock sector.
