“My aim is to become an animal-assisted therapist, which means working with animals to help vulnerable people. I feel like this is my calling in life. It's amazing that Hartpury offers the opportunity to work with different species as part of the degree. I’ve been getting hands on with exotic animals – meerkats, skunks and emus. I really want to expand this field of work in my career, moving away from ‘pets in therapy’ into how we can work with more unique animals to help health and wellbeing.”
