Student life at Hartpury

There’s plenty to keep you busy outside lectures. Discover new hobbies through our clubs and societies, take up a recreational sport or do CV-boosting volunteering. Whether attending a big event or relaxing in our on-site bar, your student experience will be full of memories. Students’ Union The Students’ Union (SU) run an exciting range of clubs and societies, ranging from book club, gaming group, animal society, polo, equestrian club, hockey and networks such as the LGBT+ society and many more. See the full list hsu.unioncloud.org. They can also provide you with opportunities to get involved in, volunteering, employability support, campaigning and representing the student voice. Freshers Freshers’ Week is a timetable of immersive activities, designed to help students settle in to university life and lay the foundations for life-long friendships. The busy calendar of events include a Beach Ball, quiz night, Glos Vegas bar crawl and Freshers’ Fair. A highlight is our popular Winter and Summer Balls. Past acts have included Rak-Su, Sigma, Katy B, Scouting for Girls, Labrinth, and Chase and Status. Get active As well as a comprehensive gym and sports facilities the Hartpury Active project hosts fitness classes to keep you active, from yoga and table tennis to our popular Pury Joggers. We have a range of sports teams and societies, both competitive and recreational, you could join. With lots of animals on campus, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to interact with them. You could sign up for sessions in our animal collection, volunteer on our campus farm, or join our equestrian club to ride with friends. Residential Life Programme We have introduced a Residential Life Programme to enhance your experience whilst living on campus. Look out for the various events and workshops that will be on offer to help improve your life skills, wellbeing and social experience.
