MSc | PGDip Applied Equine Science Advance your existing expertise in equine science by applying scientific theory in a practical setting on campus. You’ll study a diverse range of industry informed modules, examining how science underpins real-world practice. You'll learn, on-site, through the use of extensive facilities and world-class technologies including thermography, gait analysis and electromyography. Research projects will enable you to develop new knowledge in line with your interests and career goals. Professional experience You’ll have opportunities to gain experience in our commercial equine therapy, hydrotherapy, rider performance and equine events centres. You’ll also benefit from leading industry researchers, guest lecturers and field trips to enhance your learning and networks. You’ll learn from leading lecturers and industry experts who are changing the world of equitation science and influencing the development of new ethical policies and practices that challenge the status quo. They'll support you to make evidence-based assessments of horse and rider welfare in diverse contexts including during training and competition. Professional experience Gain valuable industry experience by volunteering at the national and international level events hosted by our Equine Centre. These include the NAF Five Star International Hartpury Horse Trials and the NAF Five Star Hartpury Festival of Dressage.
