Animal facilities

Our 360-hectare rural campus provides an inspiring place to develop your understanding of the natural world. You'll have access to domestic and non-domestic species our animal collection and an abundance of wildlife. Individual spaces, including our walled animal garden, orchard paddocks, livestock farm and Equine Centre will help you to further your understanding and fuel your ambition to make a difference in the animal world. Animal collection With access to invertebrates, reptiles, aquatics, exotics, and large and small mammals, you'll be able to study at a University with experience of a wide range of species that can be used within your research.

Canine Hydrotherapy Centre You could work alongside canine specialists in our hydrotherapy centre to understand how theory is applied in practice to improve the lives of dogs through hydrotherapy. Canine performance and training With specialisms in biomechanics, nutrition, canine health and welfare, you could get involved in a range of activities. including projects with our prestigious partners such as the British Flyball Association. Conservation Our rural estate is at the heart of learning and research. Students and staff are discovering innovative ways to promote biodiversity and protect endangered species, collaborating with big-name partners to improve practice.
