"I’m helping student athletes perform at their best on the sports field, and in the classroom, by altering sleep patterns and working to improve sleep outcomes. Sleep is considered a key pillar of health and performance but is something that student athletes often struggle with. My research examines their sleep-related behaviours to develop a package to facilitate better sleep behaviours and endorse optimal sleep hygiene practices. Hartpury’s world-class facilities and top-level Sports Academy team make it the perfect place to conduct cutting-edge sport research that will have an impact on athlete wellbeing and performance."

"I’m passionate about driving change in agriculture in three critical areas: consumer education, farmer wellbeing and animal welfare. From my undergraduate experience, I knew Hartpury would treat me as an individual and that I would be supported to mould my research to complement my own experiences and values. I’m exploring how the level of connection between farmers and consumers influences dairy cow welfare and farmer wellbeing within different selling routes. Findings may evidence benefits associated with alternative routes, such as farm shops, showing that strong farmer-consumer relationships enhance wellbeing for farmers, consumers and animals."
